Q.  What is Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, Incorporated?
A.  Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, Incorporated (BRH) is one of the state's most respected providers of residential and health care living options for Older Adults. It was established in 1951 and currently owns and operates retirement communities in Albemarle, Asheville, and Concord, in addition to the Brookridge Community in Winston-Salem. BRH is a not-for-profit organization. It has a historical relationship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina but is a separate and distinct corporate entity.
Q.  What is a continuing care retirement community?
A.  Brookridge is a continuing care retirement community ... a community designed to provide active retirees a gracious and comfortable lifestyle with numerous amenities as well as the security of knowing that a health care continuum of care is available in the future if needed.

Brookridge offers its 325 residents a choice of 4 living options: Active Retirement for individuals and couples in apartment and garden home settings; Assisted Living for individuals and couples who need some help with the activities of everyday living; a Memory Enhanced Residence for care of those with dementia-related disorders; and Nursing Care services on both a short-term and a continuing basis.
