Q.
What health services do you provide?
A.
At the Brookridge Community, we know that good health and good health care are essential to maintaining an independent and active lifestyle. Research has shown that individuals who live in continuing-care retirement communities, like Brookridge, spend less time in hospitals, require less nursing care, and statistically live longer than the Older Adult population in general.
The Brookridge Community offers the best comprehensive and continuous health care possible, beginning with preventive health services and continuing through different levels of assisting with the tasks of daily living and finally to nursing care to ensure that residents receive the care they need when they need it. This program includes clinic and emergency services, home health care, prescription drug service, and therapy services.
- Clinic Services -Registered nurses are available at scheduled hours for consultation screenings, and vaccinations. Most active retirees select their own physicians.
- Emergency Services - Emergency alarms may be activated from your apartment home. Switchboard staff, security guards, and nurses are on duty 24 hours a day to respond.
- Lifeline Service - Brookridge provides optional 24-hour mobile monitoring service for a fee.
- Prescription Drug Service -Apartment/Garden Home residents use the pharmacy of their choice. Local delivery can be arranged.
- Therapy Services - Physical, occupational, speech, and other special therapy services are available via the Prince Nursing Care Center.
- Home Health Services - Brookridge can assist in arranging these services as needed.
