Brookridge Named a 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation

We are proud to share that Brookridge Retirement Community has been named one of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes of 2026 for Short-Term Rehabilitation — a prestigious national recognition that reflects our commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and exceptional outcomes for those we serve.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates nearly 15,000 nursing homes nationwide, and fewer than 19% earn the distinction of “Best Nursing Home” in Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or both. This designation places Brookridge among the top-performing skilled nursing communities in the country.

A Recognition Earned by an Extraordinary Team

This honor is especially meaningful because it is owing to the people who bring Brookridge’s mission to life every day.

“Our team leads with heart while holding themselves to the highest clinical standards,” Brookridge Executive Director Tatum Myers said. “They advocate for our residents, support families through important transitions, and create an environment where dignity and excellence are never compromised. This recognition belongs entirely to them. It is their dedication and commitment that makes Brookridge exceptional.”

She added that she’s incredibly proud of the team for earning the Best Nursing Home designation.

“This honor is a direct reflection of the compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment our nurses, caregivers, therapists, dining staff, housekeeping, and support teams demonstrate every single day,” she said.

What the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes Designation Represents

The 2026 U.S. News Best Nursing Homes are chosen using a rigorous methodology, evaluating facilities across 17 distinct quality measures for Short-Term Rehabilitation. These measures focus on post-acute care quality, staffing consistency, and patient-centered outcomes, offering families a comprehensive picture of care quality.

According to U.S. News data, top-rated nursing homes nationwide demonstrate measurable differences in care delivery and outcomes, including:

- 20% more total staffing per resident per day compared to the national average

- 80% more physical therapy per resident per day at top-performing skilled nursing facilities

- 33% fewer emergency room visits for rehabilitation patients at the highest-performing facilities

These benchmarks underscore the importance of strong clinical leadership, consistent staffing, and a coordinated rehabilitation approach — values that are embedded in Brookridge’s culture of care.
