At Brookridge, Nursing Assistants Week is an opportunity to pause and celebrate the compassion, skill and unwavering dedication of the team members who provide hands-on care every day. From early mornings to late nights, Brookridge’s CNAs are the steady presence residents count on, building meaningful relationships and delivering care that goes far beyond routine tasks.
To close out this year’s celebration, the community gathered on Friday to recognize several outstanding CNAs whose commitment truly stands out. These award recipients were nominated by their peers. Through their kindness, professionalism and genuine connection with residents and families, these individuals reflect the very best of what it means to serve at Brookridge. Heart of Brookridge – Shineka Allen:
This year’s highest honor is proudly presented to Shineka, our Heart of Brookridge Award recipient. Shineka is a constant source of warmth, love, and encouragement to everyone around her. Legacy in the Making Award – Armani Mankins:
Armani Mankins’ dedication, compassion, and impact are already shaping the future of care within the facility. Through strong work ethic, professionalism, compassion, and influence she is building a lasting example of excellence. She has demonstrated exceptional growth, initiative, and commitment to providing outstanding resident care. Andraina Mitchell exemplifies teamwork, collaboration, and support for both residents and coworkers. Calm Under Pressure Award – Darryl Green:
Darryl Green consistently demonstrates exceptional composure, sound judgement, and calmness in high-pressure or rapidly changing situations. Whether responding to resident needs, supporting team members during crises, or managing challenging situations, he remains calm, focused, and dependable. His steady presence helps ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care even in the most demanding moments.
Smiles That Matter Award – Nadina Clarke:
Nadina Clarke brings warmth, positivity, and genuine kindness into every interaction. Her smile is more than a gesture – it helps ease anxiety, brighten difficult days, and create meaningful connections with residents, families, and coworkers. Through compassion, encouragement, and a consistent uplifting presence, she makes a lasting difference in the emotional well-being of those she cares for.
Quiet Difference Maker Award – Catrina Tart:
Catrina Tart consistently makes a meaningful impact without seeking recognition. Through quiet dedication, reliability, and consistent follow-through, she improves the lives of residents and supports her team in ways that may not always be seen, but are always felt. Her steady commitment to excellence, compassion, and teamwork sets a powerful example of service in action.
The Reliable Care Award – Priscilla Goodwin:
Priscilla Goodwin consistently demonstrates reliability, consistency, and dedication to her role. Priscilla Goodwin is someone the team can always count on – showing up, completing job duties, and supporting coworkers and residents without hesitation. Unsung Hero Award – Shannon Posey:

Excellence in Daily Care Award – Marisha Foust:
Marisha Foust consistently demonstrates excellence through the delivery of daily resident care. Through attention to detail, compassion, and quality of care, she ensures that every resident receives high-quality, respectful, and person-centered care each day. Her reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing the right thing every time, sets a standard of excellence for others to follow.
Resident Voice Award – Hannah Maiden:
Hannah Maiden serves as a strong advocate for residents, ensuring their needs, preferences, concerns, and choices are heard and respected. Grace Under Fire Award – Fetica Grandy:

Consistency in Care Award – Tennile Howard:

Rising Star Award – Kiera Powell, Zipporah Flowers, and Fah’Deja Barchue
